Steps
- Login to the namecheap dashboard.
- Find your domain and hit the
MANAGE
button - On the Domains > Details page hit the Advanced DNS tab
Here is where you add your records
TLD
YOURDOMAIN.COM
Push the ADD NEW RECORD button to add a new record
- Under the Type dropdown, select A Record
- Set Host to @
- Set IP Address to the IP of your install
- Push the green check mark to save
Delete the other records
- Push the trash button
- Select Yes when asked to Delete Record?
WWW
YOURDOMAIN.COM
Push the ADD NEW RECORD button to add a new record
- Under the Type drop down, select CNAME Record
- Set Host to www
- Set Target to your domain
- Push the green check mark to save
Optional: Subdomains (test.yourdomain.com)
Push the ADD NEW RECORD button to add a new record
- Under the Type drop down, select CNAME Record
- Set Host to test
- Set Target to your domain
- Push the green check mark to sav
